Job Designation Meggitt Simi Valley site is a fully integrated location with product responsibility from Marketing and Engineering, through Supplier Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing ending with delivery to the customers. Meggitt is a worldwide leader in multiple Commercial and Military Aerospace product lines including Fire and Smoke Detection and Extinguishing systems, Bleed Air Overheat detection systems, Actuators, Rudder Pedal Assemblies, Pumps, Fuel Gauging Systems, High-Temperature cables and more. Meggitt is also a key supplier to select Energy markets including Nuclear gas Analyzers and Nuclear containment vessel penetration Cables. We work directly with the largest global aerospace companies, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, and many others. The Financial Analyst will apply analytical expertise in performing productive research for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Prepares reports and makes recommendations to management while supporting the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Job Core Responsibilities o Maintains and develops complex financial models to prepare annual budget information as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts and 10-year plan o Creates monthly tracking reports for headcount, indirect spend, and other financial information for upper management o Performs financial analysis on indirect spend, headcount, cash flows, working capital, product costs, and margins o Ability to research complex problems and articulate financial results linked to operational cause and effect o Formulates financial analysis and presentation packages for senior management and corporate leadership o Prepares various ad-hoc analytical studies at the request of management o Other responsibilities as assigned o Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance o Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary Job Specifications Education:
Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of work experience & education Years of
Experience:
o 5
years of relevant experience o Manufacturing industry experience preferred o Finance back group experience preferred Skills o Thorough understanding and experience of standard accounting concepts, practices, procedures, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). o Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience o Ability to analyze and translate complex data into easily understandable information and makes recommendations; uses expertise to solve complex problems o Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations o Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information effectively o Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database management tools, including expert knowledge of Excel o Hands-on experience with cost accounting preferred
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
